Well, what a start to 2026 it was…all within 2 days of each other, plus a couple of snapped keys in the front door 😩 sometimes you have to laugh so that you don’t cry!

Thankfully things are looking up! The ceiling has been fixed today, we fixed the door, the fire thankfully didn’t take down the restaurant and no one got hurt, so we’re feeling positive and we’re looking forward to a great week 🙌🏼

VALENTINES DAY ❤️

After a lovely early date night last night (because who in hospitality gets to see their other half on Valentines?! - unless you work together of course) our attention draws to Valentine’s Day - this Saturday 14th Feb.

We’re absolutely chuffed to say that the latter part of the evening is fully booked; there are some early dinner spots available around 5 ish, or we’re open from 11am, straight through to the evening if brunch/lunch is more for your valentines vibe.

We have our amazing brunch menu specials as well as some delicious specials in the evening (more info to follow!) and we would hugely recommend booking your table at any point on Saturday if you can to avoid any disappointment.

SPACES TONIGHT (from one stressed out owner)

A very brutal and honest post. We have gone from being fully booked to losing half of our bookings through cancellations tonight. We get it. Life happens. these things happen. But the costs to running this place stay the same and the stock has already been delivered and paid for with the original numbers in mind.

So honestly we need your support. Come in for tea, book Sunday lunch, treat your better half next week. If not us, make sure its somewhere independent. The struggles are real. The cries for help in the media are real.

We have a hard working team of staff. John, our sous is one of the best chefs i have ever worked with, Danno grafts his bandana off, lucy is class with the guests and the team, Anastasia went from a trainee chef to now a leader within the business out front and then 2 owners who care deeply for this place and this city.
